Is SPF30 High Enough?

Many sunscreen manufacturers have merrily marketed SPF 30's, 35's, 40's, 45's, 50's, 60's etc... Every year or two the SPF goes up a little....and so does the price. Each manufacturer tries to out-do the other with a higher SPF. You as the consumer feel pressurised into buying the 'best' protection for your family. This is especially prevalent when it comes to sunscreen for kids.

Here's the reality. SPF15 absorbs 93% of the UVB radiation, SPF30 absorbs 97% and even factors above 50 do not substantially increase this protection factor, i.e. the 'law of diminishing returns' comes strongly into play. No SPF (no matter how high) gives 100% protection from UV radiation!

Applying sunscreen is not a license for excessive sun exposure. Try and follow these simple steps:

1. Apply sunscreen 20 minutes prior to sun exposure

2. Limit your time spent in the sun between 11h00 and 14h00

3. Wear a hat and UV rated sunglasses

4. Reapply sunscreen after swimming or towelling

Mozzi!Zone™ Towelettes

Mozzi!Zone wipes have been formulated with high concentrations of essential oils.
Our proprietary blend of 5 essential oils (Neem, Lemon Grass, Eucalyptus, Lavender and Citronella) in a highly stable 'fixating' base locks the oils onto the skin to ensure protection that lasts for 3 to 4 hours.
The ‘Baby’ variant has higher concentrations of Lavender while the Eucalyptus has been removed.
These products do not contain DEET (Meta-N, N-diethyl tolumide), a strong chemical solvent used in many of the leading mosquito repellents.
The soft, spun-lace towelette allows a convenient, controlled and non-mess way of applying the product
